Hip Flexor Progress

by Dan
(Lacrosse, WI)

I have been faithfully performing the stretching and phase I strength exercises almost everyday for almost a week and the mobility and strength is returning to my hips. I still cannot run, as it hurts, but does not hurt during other activities and I have been able to do a lot of cycling with no pain. We are still trying to figure out whether I have tendonitis or a hernia and I have already had a CAT scan and am going back for an Ultrasound in a couple of days. I was hoping to get better to run a marathon at the end of this month, but I have put that idea on hold and decided on working on healing completely and regrouping for next year.

I have had numerous injuries over the last year that have been hip related and I am confident that I will get through this by continuing to do exercises a couple of times a week and that should help to prevent them from re-occurring.

I will keep you posted and have been please with the results that I have so far.

Hip Flexor Update Response
by: Mitch - MTS

I'm happy to hear the update that you are getting better already! It sounds like you are going through the proper steps to get this thing resolved. Assuming the scan and ultrasound come back okay, you should be ready to keep progressing with the program!

Keep us updated!
